Posada booking terms
Who provides the service
Posadas are offered by Manolo Cicero Aranda, an individual, as the person responsible for Casona Cicero, with address at Calle 18 x 19 #90, Col. Itzimná, C.P. 97100, Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. Contact: info@casonacicero.com · +52 999 125 6448. Food and bars are prepared and served by a partner catering company under Casona Cicero's coordination; Casona Cicero charges and answers to you.
What you book
Temporary use of the space that matches your number of guests (Dining room, Event hall or Central Area), with tables, chairs, white linens and service tables, for six hours, plus the menu, bars and extras in your confirmed quote. The confirmed quote, with its reference, is part of these terms. It does not include decoration, music, special lighting or any service not listed in it.
Price
All prices include VAT. The total is the one in your confirmed quote; if you change the number of guests, the menu or the drinks, the total is recalculated with the current price table and confirmed with you before any charge. If you need an invoice (factura), ask for it when requesting your quote or before paying.
Deposit and payments
The date is held with a deposit of 50% of the total; until it is paid, the date remains available to others. The deposit is applied to the total. The balance is paid before the event date. You can pay by card in a single payment, in 3 interest-free monthly installments with participating cards —in which case the installment fee, shown before paying, is added—, with Mercado Pago or by bank transfer. You can split the deposit or the balance among several people; every payment is applied to the same order.
Cancellation and date change
If you cancel, the deposit is non-refundable. If you need to change the date, we can apply what you paid to another available date in the same season. If Casona Cicero cancels for its own reasons, it refunds everything you paid.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for what it cannot fulfill due to causes beyond its reasonable control (severe weather, general utility failures, acts of authority). In that case we will look for another date with you.
Schedule and neighbors
The event lasts six hours and ends by 2:00 am at the latest. Please respect noise and neighborhood regulations; if an authority asks to lower the volume or stop the music, this will be done immediately.
Alcoholic drinks
Alcoholic drinks are served only to people 18 and over. Staff may refuse service to anyone who cannot prove their age or who puts their own or others' safety at risk. If you bring your own drinks, you are responsible for them.
Caring for the house
Casona Cicero is an old house. Nailing, drilling, or sticking tape or adhesives on walls, ironwork, wood or decorative elements is not allowed; decoration is set up with stands and supports that cause no damage. Electrical and plumbing installations may not be modified. Your vendors must coordinate with us before the event. Damage caused by guests or vendors, and extraordinary cleaning (confetti, glitter, paint, wax, broken glass), are charged at cost.
Liability
You are responsible for the conduct of your guests and vendors. Casona Cicero is not liable for lost items or for belongings of guests or vendors.
Photos and personal data
We may photograph the space before and after the event as operational evidence. Any promotional use of photos of your event requires your authorization. Your data is handled according to our privacy notice.
Acceptance
By paying you accept these terms; we keep the date and the version you accepted. For any question write to info@casonacicero.com. If we cannot reach an agreement, you may go to Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco).
