April 29, 2026

There are points in time when all the elements of an event are brought together, but when those elements successfully create a feeling, an event becomes an experience. This was the case during the RANGE ROVER – RUNWAY PROJECT that took place on April 29th, 2026. Groundbreaking stylists and creative visionaries came together to display the incredible talent that resides in Mexico.
This first edition of RANGE ROVER – RUNWAY PROJECT was set in Casona Cicero and made its intention clear from the start. It was directed and organized by Pablo Álvarez and Manolo Cicero, with Ileana Richaud as model coordinator, Beto Castro as backstage manager, and Armando Loria as production manager.
Hosting this event reflects what Casona Cicero wants to be as a venue: not only to create an experience, but to bring together the talent, knowledge, and imagination of the community and see what becomes possible. Mexico's history is worth honoring, whether through restoring its architecture or preserving its textiles.

An immersive experience unfolds in the heart of Casona Cicero...
The evening opened in motion. A live string quartet, accompanied by a DJ, set the musical atmosphere with a contemporary dance opening that moved through the space, bringing together fashion, music, and movement. The quartet, formed by students of the University of the Arts of Yucatán (UNAY), performed an original repertoire created specifically for RUNWAY PROJECT, giving the evening a sound of its own. Five dancers, also from UNAY, offered guests their first glimpse of the night's creative dialogue and brought the designs of Pineda Covalín into movement.
The long, mosaic-tiled halls were the stage the thirty-two models moved through, dazzling guests to the sound of the quartet. The music rose through the house from the Área Central, where a platform had been built over the pool. That use of space allowed for a professional runway spanning the central perimeter and several rooms, creating an experience immersed in the house, with impeccable views of the designers' work.

A hand-selected group of cultural, social, and business leaders gathered to witness the evening and also to support a cause. 100% of ticket proceeds were donated to INICIATIVA HAZ, a nonprofit organization supporting education in indigenous communities and vulnerable children across Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
In 2025, INICIATIVA HAZ benefited 1,412 children and 149 adults and raised $1,283,796.00 MXN. With the donations from RUNWAY PROJECT, the organization was able to successfully construct an outdoor bathroom to serve the Kancabdzonot community in Yucatán.

Founded in 2005, the brand works closely with indigenous communities and artisans from various states across the country with a focus on preserving artisanal textiles. Harmoniously and elegantly blends the past and present of Mexico's identity, gaining international renown.

Intent on transforming Mexican references into a contemporary, sophisticated, and highly commercial aesthetic, David Salomón has built a veritably established name in the national fashion and luxury circuit. His work is recognizable for its "hippie-chic" style and has been presented on national and international stages alike.

Featured on the official Fashion Week Mexico schedule, the Alejandro Carlín brand is distinguished by its blend of luxury, technical skill, contemporary femininity, and a sustainable approach to design. Elegant, international aesthetic cemented in distinctive identity.

Modern menswear, reimagined by Antonio Domínguez and Ernesto Moncada. Pieces of their collection are intended for the carefully curated wardrobes of those who prioritize versatility, craftsmanship, and the ability to express themselves through fashion.

With an eye sharpened in Barcelona, Milan, and Mexico, Alamos designs with compelling narrative, distinct image, and a genuine connection to pop culture and the entertainment industry. He has dressed celebrities such as Lucero, Galilea Montijo, and Kevin Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers), and created costumes for the musical project Ojos Marrones, featuring Sebastián Yatra and Lasso.
Each, through their own language, constructs a narrative that moves between haute couture, textile heritage, and contemporary exploration.
The celebration of Mexican design extended before and after the runway show. The day before, an academic talk with Macario Jiménez, David Salomón, Alejandro Carlín, Ernesto Moncada, and Antonio Domínguez went in depth into "Art in Fashion: The Unfiltered Truth About Money, Industry, and the Future of Design". Right after the show, a gallery and pop-up store with the designers' previous work opened in one of the venue's rooms, where guests could take in the pieces at their leisure and support the artists by purchasing.
To close the night, guests carried on in the gardens of Casona Cicero. Mosquito Runner set up a brand activation with cocktails, and Turín kindly served its chocolates. The atmosphere was kept up by a live DJ.
This event exemplifies the aims of Casona Cicero's restoration, to serve as a hearth of stories, new and legendary, and where events are truly experienced. In this space, one feels at ease to gather, to celebrate, and to experience time with meaning.
